The Panglao Island Nature Resort

Panglao is an island in the Philippines located in the Central Visayas. It is an island situated particularly southwest of the island of Bohol and in the east of Cebu.

It is a small island known for its quiet beach resorts and several great wide variety of dive sites. It has everything - the reefs, several kinds of corals, walls, big and small fishes, starfishes, and other life forms under the sea. You can find good snorkeling around the northwest and southeast coasts. This area is filled with lots of sea stars, sea snakes and corals. The area has been the center of seashell trade. It is said that the Spanish explorers who came to this island in 1803 named it Panglao after the world 'mapanglao', meaning 'lonesome place'. It is also one of the old towns of Bohol.

Resort from this Municipality named: Panglao Island Nature Resort, the perfect getaway from the clutter of the urban jungle and an ideal vacation spot from the mess of the metropolitan environment. A white sand beach, built around the natural curve of the premises and dotted the resort with high-ceiling, thatched roof huts. Each guest room has a balcony with drying rack, coffee table & chairs and is equipped with individually remote controlled air-conditioning, household appliances, satellite cabled TV, national and international telephone facility, private bathroom with hot & cold shower, personal cafe, 220-volt electrical points, key-card security lock system, gym facilities, spa treatment and the innovative "wi-fi" technology for internet gurus.

You can also stay one of the best appointed lodgings at Tagbiliran City, the capital of city of Bohol province, only 10 – 20 minutes ride from the sandy white beaches. The Soledad Suites with only 22 rooms certainly not tacky, the guestrooms are tastefully done with well crafted wooden furniture, soft beds, mini refrigerator and a clean and spacious bathroom. On the ground level, are two outlets: the Shanghai Palace and a cozy coffee shop called the Brewpoint, the local hangout of Bohol’s young crowd.
